1. CIC Money Market Fund

This is a low-risk fund that invests in a diversified portfolio of short-term interest-earning instruments.

The fund features:

  • Management Fee: 1.50%
  • Commissions: 0.50%
  • Total Management Fees: 2.00%
  • Trustee Fee: 0.15%
  • Custody Fee: 0.10%
  • Total Fees and Expenses: 2.25%
  • Liquidity: You are able to withdraw your funds at short notice.
  • Flexibility: You are able to switch or transfer funds to another fund that you have with CICAM.
  • Security: The fund invests in government and investment-grade corporate bonds.
  • Competitive Returns: Historical performance that is above set benchmarks and low transactional costs.
  • Offers semiannual dividends and conservative capital movements.
  • The fund invests in bonds issued by the Kenyan government and investment-grade corporate bonds with more than 60% allocation. A portion of the portfolio is invested in cash and cash equivalents to meet the liquidity needs of the fund.

2. CIC Dollar Fund

This fund is suitable for clients who prefer US dollars-denominated investments with a short to medium-term horizon.

The fund features:

  • Initial fee: Nil
  • Minimum Investment: Kes 5,000.00.
  • Minimum Additional Investment: Kes 1,000.00.
  • Annual Management Fee: 2% Per annum.
  • Liquidity: You can withdraw your funds at short notice.
  • Flexibility: You can switch or transfer funds to another fund that you have with CICAM.
  • Security: The fund invests in low-risk and liquid instruments.
  • Competitive Returns: Interest is calculated daily and credited at the end of each month. As an institutional investor, the fund benefits from placing deposits in large sums and can negotiate competitive rates.

  • The principal investments are Call and Fixed deposits with financial institutions regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya, Treasury bills, Government securities, and credit-rated or publicly approved Commercial papers with a maximum weighted average tenure of 13 months.
